PORTFOLIO

Image
Artist Statement: This is my portfolio from every project we did this semester. I feel like my theme represents me because I feel connected with the night sky and this color scheme contains my two favorite colors. I chose fonta that I felt best suited my colors and layout. I had a bit of trouble with InDesign at first but I got the hang of it eventually.

DESIGN AND PUBLISH

IN DESIGN TUTORIALS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eqhUFRlvgI This video taught be about all of the basics of this program and how to navigate it and use the tools that are available to me, how to format, layout, and use text.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDLl83wpTXY This video taught me how to design a portfolio using  Adobe InDesign. It was helpful because it was a more specific tutorial that will probably be relevant to what we are doing in class. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AshfNo-i8Ws This video just focuses in on the tools that are available to me in longer, more in-depth detail which will be helpful to understand exactly what I'm doing.  Business Cards: Artist Statement: For this project, I made three drastically different business cards using my logo, and two fonts to go with it. I made sure to make them drastically different so I had options if I were to choose one. The first one is more retro, the second is very girly, and the third is more classic. I have to

It gave me a much better understanding of how the brush tool works and how there are so many different brush styles you can use and so many different ways to manipulate them to look exactly how you want them to look. The second video I watched was a basic photoshop tutorial which familiarized myself with all of the different tools that you can use in photoshop. and Lastly, the third video I watched gave me a good understanding of the tag brush.  Original Logo Tag Brush Tag Brush Imprint Artist Statement: My logo is very important to me because I am a photographer who is very passionate and a loving person in general hence the hearts on it. I chose my favorite colors for the tag brush imprint. Blues, purples, and pinks and played around with it and cre

VECTORS

Arist Statement: For this project, first, the five words were given to us and we created shapes that we felt fit with them out of them to familiarize ourselves with this program, then for our project, we chose words relating to the image, then created that image using the words we chose. My statement was Dont Quack like a duck, soar like an eagle. I made the font bold so it was easy to read. Artist Statement: For this project, we were learning how to recreate a cat using Adobe Illustrator. I found this very difficult but I think I did a decent job even though it doesn't look the same, especially because this was my first attempt at using Adobe Illustrator. Artist Statement:  This project is pretty self-explanatory but we were given instructions to write a letter to our future selves so I did just that and I made it into the shape of a camera because photography is my biggest passion. Artist Statement: My logo is very true to myself because photography and filmmaking which of course

I liked learning about the different tools used in order to make this happen. I know this will be a challenge for me, possibly not as much of a challenge as Dreamweaver, but still a challenge because I have never used this program before.      Three tools that I think I will have difficulty using are the pen tool, the curvature tool, and the width tool. The game I played in class was something I struggled with and I was not able to complete the car. I have difficulty with things like the pen tool and everything similar to it. When it comes to free drawing, that is much more up my alley.

Canvas Project

Sabrina Stern Artist Statement: My Dreamweaver project is a bowl of various fruits. My inspiration behind it is seeing many different artists take on this classic subject matter, so I decided to create my own version of a bowl of fruit. Using Dreamweaver codes, the shapes are very simple and almost cartoonish, and unrealistic looking because this is a work of abstract art even though it resembles a bowl of fruit. This is my first time using this program and my brain can’t work with numbers so I tried my best and after many hours of playing with coordinates, I was able to create this bowl of fruit. Every fruit is a different color with a different colored stem for variety. To the left there is a green apple with a blue stem, followed by a red apple with a long, green stem, and to the left there’s an orange with a pink stem. I made the background a gradient for an artistic effect. <!doctype html> <html> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>pro

Sabrina Stern- An Introduction

Image
I'm Sabrina Stern and I'm a film major starting my first semester at UT, last semester of my freshman year I spent at Ringling College of Art and Design. Though my classes were good, they were all online and I was not getting much of a college experience, so now I'm here in Tampa as a film major. I'm from Long Island, New York and my hobbies are driving around and exploring new places, photography (I love to carry around my camera and capture things I find particularly eye-catching), and I also just love the art of filmmaking.       I've taken classes at New York Film Academy as well as the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, My work was selected for a film festival there at USC and I also had a film of mine put in the Changing Minds Young Filmmaker Competition part of NYC's Mental Health Film Festival back in 2019. I spent my last two years of high school spending half of my school day at a specialized film program which was
